Our Mission
The mission of the Gage Park High School Counseling Department is to provide high quality comprehensive school counseling services to all students in the pursuit of academic excellence, enhance their social, personal strengths in order to become responsible and productive citizens.

Counseling Department
The Counseling Department at Gage Park High School provides students with a full range of services to meet their academic, personal, social and college/career needs. It is important as a counselor to work with students in facilitating academic decision-making, curriculum information, interpreting school policies and procedures, and assessing student interest and needs. Ms. Allen is here to provide services for all Gage Park students.

The counseling office is open everyday during regular school hours. Students are encouraged to visit their counselor during their lunch periods or other non-class time.

Ms. Andrea Allen, LPC
Ms. Allen has just joined the Gage Park Family in April 2018.  However, she is no stranger to school counseling.  She has worked in both high schools and elementary schools advocating for students, building leaders, school climate improvement, post-secondary achievement, among many.  She is also one of twenty-six CPS counselors on the Master Counselor Advisory council in which she advocates school counseling work on the district-level.  She has been vocal in amending nation-wide legislation for the role of school counselors via the American School Counseling Association.  She is a determined, champion and advocate for student success.  She enjoys meeting with students and families to talk about academics, life lessons and getting ready for the adventures after graduating high school.
