Response to Intervention RtI In an effort to support our students and encourage student achievement, Gage Park High School has begun a schoolwide initiative, RtI (Response to Intervention). All teachers in every class will use RtI 2x weekly by applying new strategies for learning the content. Teachers will explain the strategy, model the strategy and offer time to practice the strategy for 20 minutes. Each student will have practice time and receive immediate feedback in regards to their mastery of the skill and the strategy. Mastery consists of 80% or above. If more practice is needed, students will have the opportunity to practice on day 2 and utilize the intervention strategies offered during the classroom. Parents/Guardians are encouraged to support our efforts by asking your child about the strategies used in their classrooms and allow students to demonstrate the strategy they learned in their classes each week. Together we can achieve more.
